Reading Skills
setting: time and place in which a story takes place plot: the pattern of events in the story. (conflict, rising action, climax resolution) visualize: to make pictures in your mind when you read. point of view: the perspective from which the author presents a story. 1st Person POV: uses words like "I", and "me" when telling the story. 3rd Person POV: The person telling the story is outside the story and uses words like "he", "she", "they", and "them." |
